As with any art form, utilizing a set of unassuming yet effective tools is vital to refining and mastering the craft of teaching. In this training, Karrie Edwards has compiled practical, simple techniques that yield high levels of student motivation and a classroom culture of respect and value. This offering is informed by the construct Behaviors for Learning in the Flourishing School Culture Model (FSCM). New and seasoned educators alike can benefit from a fresh set of functional tools as they guide students toward positive learning behaviors and achievement.
Learning Objectives for this offering:
- The participant will identify classroom dynamics that guide students toward positive behaviors for learning.
- The participant will develop a plan to increase student engagement by utilizing applicable and practical techniques.
- The participant will reconstruct a lesson that implements techniques to improve the classroom experience and increase student achievement.
